Restaurant Website Accessibility in Florida
Help Florida restaurant customers read menus, find hours, reserve and order. Scoped website accessibility repairs from $2,449 for up to 15 pages; monitoring from $49/month.
Can a guest read your menu on a phone, find today's hours and phone number, reserve a table, or start an order without getting stuck? We review those tasks, repair the restaurant website code and content we can control, and document vendor handoffs.
Start with the guest's next task
Put hours, location and a callable phone number where guests can find them as text. Make the menu readable at phone size and when zoomed. Follow the path from “Reserve a table” or “Start an order” through the handoff, not just the first button. Include gift cards and catering or event inquiry forms in the task list when your restaurant offers them.
A free website accessibility scan request can flag some public-page issues. It does not test a completed order, payment or booking.
Common barriers and concrete repairs
- Image-only or PDF-only menus: publish a structured HTML menu with readable item names, prices and relevant descriptions. Keep any print PDF current; specialist PDF tagging and verification are separately scoped.
- Small text or low contrast: check menu prices and controls at phone width and zoom, and adjust styles so text remains readable without horizontal panning.
- Mouse-only navigation: give expandable menus and reservation controls keyboard operation and visible focus. The W3C menus tutorial explains patterns for navigable menus.
- Confusing inquiry forms: associate labels with fields, explain invalid entries in text and move attention to useful feedback. See W3C guidance on form notifications.
- Moving banners and dialogs: allow guests to pause distracting motion; keep focus inside an open modal and return it to the trigger on close.
What happens when a booking or ordering tool belongs to a vendor?
Toast, DoorDash, Uber Eats and OpenTable are examples of services a restaurant might use, not platforms we certify or control. We identify where the restaurant site ends and a vendor's widget or hosted page begins. For an agreed task, we can record an observed barrier and coordinate a request to the vendor. A working outgoing link alone does not establish that a customer can finish checkout or a reservation.
How a restaurant remediation project works
- Agree on pages, shared templates, access, vendor boundaries and manual guest tasks, including menu reading and any relevant reservation, ordering, gift-card or catering path.
- Run automated checks on agreed public pages and perform the agreed manual keyboard and visual task checks; record what was and was not tested.
- Repair owner-controlled code and content, then retest the agreed tasks and capture before-and-after evidence.
- Deliver a dated record of fixes and remaining vendor limitations. Optional monitoring can detect some later regressions on agreed pages.
Human screen-reader validation, specialist PDF work and custom journeys require separate scope confirmation. No automated result or repair record certifies a restaurant or guarantees a legal outcome.
Pricing and next steps
Restaurant website remediation starts at $2,449 for up to 15 pages after access and scope confirmation. Monitoring starts at $49/month for agreed pages, not unlimited repairs. Request a free scan as a starting point, or request a remediation estimate for a scoped project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a free scan check my complete reservation or ordering checkout?
No. A requested scan checks selected public pages with automated rules. It cannot prove a guest completed a reservation, order, payment, or vendor checkout. Agree on manual tasks and vendor access separately.
Can you repair Toast, DoorDash, Uber Eats or OpenTable?
We can review an agreed handoff and document a barrier in a hosted or embedded vendor flow. We cannot change vendor-owned code or certify those platforms. The provider may need to fix its own controls; testing a link is not proof that checkout works.
What is included in the starting price?
Remediation starts at $2,449 for up to 15 pages after access and scope confirmation. Agreed site code and content fixes, task checks and a record of remaining dependencies are scoped first. Specialist PDF remediation, human screen-reader validation, custom journeys and vendor-controlled repairs are separate.
What does ongoing monitoring cost?
Monitoring starts at $49/month for recurring automated checks of agreed pages and a status log. It is not unlimited remediation or a guarantee that every barrier will be detected; new repairs are scoped separately.
